The Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading a shift of residential counselor staff in one of YOU, Inc.’s 24-hour/7-day-a-week acute or congregate care settings. To this end, the Shift Supervisor works in ratio as part of a team of staff, with the responsibility for creating, monitoring, and maintaining a therapeutic treatment milieu. Shift Supervisors are considered “essential employees” and as such may be mandated to work beyond their scheduled shifts in order to maintain client to staff ratios and/or be required to report to work during declared states of emergency.
The Shift Supervisor insures the safety and supervision of staff and youth in the program, cultivates a therapeutic treatment milieu, maintains daily programming schedule, cultivates a professional team of staff, maintains appropriate boundaries while developing supportive professional relationships with both staff and youth, participates in the upkeep and cleanliness of the facility, documents client care, and if necessary, utilizes agency physical management interventions.

The Program Supervisor: Senior Family Partner also provides parents/caregivers with a structured, one-to one family support and training services, in accordance with an ICC, Outpatient or In-Home Therapist, including service eligibility determination, services plan development, service coordination, resource development, provide education, support, coaching, training and advocacy within the Community Service Agency (CSA). The Program Supervisor: Senior Family Partner should attend to risk issues, documentation of care, timeliness of documentation, professionalism, caseload expectations, and administrative issues related to providing services that are aligned with the Principles of Wrap-Around Care.

The clinician will be responsible for providing short-term individual, family, and group therapy to support youth in stabilizing so that they can safely return to their community setting or next placement. At times, the clinician may need to be in ratio to provide clinical support to the residential counselors and to support the needs and safety of the program.

The primary role of the Embedded Milieu Clinician is to work closely with the Worcester Youth Center staff to ensure that youth are receiving and/or connected to services which align with their identified needs, strengths and assessed level of risk. The Embedded Milieu Clinician shall be cognizant of each youth’s assessed level of risk and shall work with the casework team to develop and support the most effective approach to service coordination commensurate with each youth’s service need areas all while accounting for and providing opportunities to support each youth’s strengths. The Embedded Milieu Clinician will support the Worcester Youth Center’s staff by providing trauma informed training to staff, psycho-social and psycho-educational groups, therapeutic avenues for artistic expression, and therapeutic recreational activities to support the individualized needs of program participants. The Embedded Milieu Clinician will be responsible for engaging youth in recreational activities and for assessing and monitoring risk within a community-based milieu. The Embedded Milieu Clinician will make referrals to appropriate formal and informal community-based supports for needs that cannot be met onsite at the Worcester Youth Center.
The Embedded Milieu Clinician will actively participate in and provide feedback about the program’s work-plan development, program design, and performance management/quality improvement decisions.

The Health Educator serves as community resources regarding reproductive and sexual health, with the goal of assisting individuals, groups, families and communities in the acquisition of skills and competencies related to making healthy life choices and breaking unhealthy habits. The Health Educator, under the direction of the Program Coordinator, is responsible for overall health communication activity, and teaching students about behaviors that promote wellness during programming in the public schools, afterschool programs, and at events in the Southbridge community. The Health Educator provides sexual health education to students ages 9-24 in the community of Southbridge.
This part time, 12-month position works flexible hours during the summer and then in the schools primarily during school hours (M-F 7:30am – 3:30pm), with nighttime and/or afterschool hours to support youth development and community engagement throughout the school year. The Health Educator will receive extensive training in evidence-based curriculum to be implemented in schools and in the community of Southbridge, and will teach as a team for the first quarter of the school year before teaching independently. The health educator will use appropriate strategies, and methods to facilitate health promotion and disease prevention. This unique position allows the health educator to connect youth and their families to community support services within and outside of YOU Inc. The Postdoctoral Clinician will be responsible for providing psychological testing and direct clinical care to children, adolescents and their families, as appropriate to the program in which the postdoctoral clinician works. The postdoctoral clinician will ensure that the highest-quality services are provided in compliance with performance specifications, agency policies and procedures, and regulating entities. Postdoctoral Clinicians should provide services in keeping with best practices, evidence-based knowledge, and the ethics of their educational discipline.
