A licensed practical nurse bears full responsibility for the quality of health care he/she provides to the residents at Seven Hills at Hopedale. A licensed practical nurse may delegate nursing activities to assigned health care personnel. The delegating licensed practical nurse shall bear full responsibility for making an appropriate assignment, adequately teaching, directing and supervising the delegate(s), as well as the outcome of that delegation; all within the parameters of his/her generic and continuing education and experience. Provides quality care to children and young adults in accordance of the Nurse Practice Act of Massachusetts.
$1,000 sign-on bonus: $500 at 6 and 12 months of employment while in good standing.

Provide direct support to individuals in therapeutically developed program activities in a Community Based Day Support (CBDS) program and / or employment opportunities. Perform the required training and documentation necessary for group and individual participant goal achievement.

Reporting to the Supervisor and the Unit Director, and in coordination with clinical services, the Senior Child Care Specialists conducts ongoing assessment of each student and each student's response to his environment and the tone of the milieu, and makes critical modifications to care plans during the course of each shift and at any given moment.
In coordination with the Behavioral Specialist, the Senior Child Care Specialist provides comprehensive behavioral support, social skill instruction, and crisis management, while creating a positive environment for students with complex emotional and behavioral needs. Senior Child Care Specialist performs a central role in developing, applying and monitoring applied functional behavioral plans.
In coordination with the Supervisor, the Senior Child Care Specialist facilitates shift functions and activities for assigned unit, ensuring that all necessary routines and tasks are completed; plans and works with the students to promote the transfer and generalization of treatment strategies and social behaviors. Supports the Supervisor in setting the tone and facilitating the residential environment that supports both the students and the staff in successfully engaging in daily and on-going recreational activities, daily living activities, and treatment activities.

To give families of children with special health care needs a relief from their responsibilities by providing one to one care for their child within or outside the home by implementing a safety and service plan as approved by the CEDARR.
