The Groton House: Medically Complex Behavioral Residence (MCBR) is a program that services a co-ed group of individuals (ages 9 up to 22) supporting their medical and behavioral complexities.
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading a shift of residential counselor staff in a 24-hour/7-day-a-week acute or congregate care settings. To this end, the Shift Supervisor works in ratio as part of a team of staff, with the responsibility for creating, monitoring, and maintaining a therapeutic treatment milieu. Shift Supervisors are considered “essential employees” and as such may be mandated to work beyond their scheduled shifts in order to maintain client to staff ratios and/or be required to report to work during declared states of emergency.
The Shift Supervisor insures the safety and supervision of staff and youth in the program, cultivates a therapeutic treatment milieu, maintains daily programming schedule, cultivates a professional team of staff, maintains appropriate boundaries while developing supportive professional relationships with both staff and youth, participates in the upkeep and cleanliness of the facility, documents client care, and if necessary, utilizes agency physical management interventions.

The Residential Counselor provides direct care to youth in one of YOU, Inc.’s 24-hour/7-day-a-week acute or congregate care settings. The Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and managing the clinical practice and case management of a specific service/programmatic area (see list above). To that end the clinical coordinator may act as a liaison between the agency and external entities involved the specific service area. The clinical coordinator will oversee the performance of direct care clinical staff, counseling staff and/or casework staff in that specialty area. The Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for understanding the clinical specialty area and will ensure that services are delivered in compliance with best practice standards, contracting and regulatory entities’ performance specifications, agency policies, procedures and regulations. If appropriate, the clinical coordinator will ensure that his/her supervisees provide high-quality clinical care in keeping with best practices and that those supervisees attend to risk issues, documentation of care, timeliness of documentation, professionalism, productivity, and administrative issues related to providing clinical care. The Clinical Coordinator will also provide direct services to clients at an established productivity proportionate to other responsibilities.

The Behavioral Health (BH) Case Worker: Intensive Care Coordinator (ICC)-I will be responsible for providing care coordination services including service eligibility determination, services plan development, service coordination, resource development, and advocacy within the Community Service Agency (CSA). The Case Worker: ICC-I should attend to risk issues, documentation of care, timeliness of documentation, professionalism, caseload expectations, and administrative issues related to providing services that are aligned with the Principles of Wrap-Around Care.
The Behavioral Health (BH) Case Worker: Intensive Care Coordinator (ICC) II will be responsible for providing direct Intensive Care Coordination and diagnostic services that are aligned with the Principles of Wrap-Around Care to child and/or adolescent consumers and their families. The Case Worker: ICC-II will ensure that the highest-quality services are provided in compliance with performance specifications, agency policies and procedures, and regulating entities. The Case Worker: ICC-II should provide services in keeping with best practices, evidence-based knowledge, and the ethics of their educational discipline. The Case Worker: ICC-II should attend to risk issues, documentation of care, timeliness of documentation, professionalism, caseload expectations, and administrative issues related to providing wrap-around care.
