The Residential Coordinator (R.C.) is a live-in, dorm-parent position giving support to gap year students (ages 17-22) living in on-site apartments. R.C.’s typically work approximately 40 evening and weekend hours per week, and must be in residence overnight whenever students are in residence. The R.C. is a mentor to students, supplementing the work of the full-time program staff, as well as applying disciplinary policies when necessary. The R.C. manages the residence, living in a separate 1 BR apartment, and directly reports to the Assistant Program Director, who oversees Residential Life. Compensation includes housing and utilities for the duration of the appointment as well as a bi-weekly check accounting for the 40 hours per week average worked. Students are in residence for 8-10 weeks at a time for a total of 30 weeks of the year (September-May). Experience in college residential life highly desirable. The Health Educator serves as community resources regarding reproductive and sexual health, with the goal of assisting individuals, groups, families and communities in the acquisition of skills and competencies related to making healthy life choices and breaking unhealthy habits. The Health Educator, under the direction of the Program Coordinator, is responsible for overall health communication activity, and teaching students about behaviors that promote wellness during programming in the public schools, afterschool programs, and at events in the Southbridge community. The Health Educator provides sexual health education to students ages 9-24 in the community of Southbridge. This 12-month position works flexible hours during the summer and then in the schools primarily during school hours (M-F 7:30am – 3:30pm) throughout the school year. The Health Educator will receive extensive training in evidence-based curriculum to be implemented in schools and in the community of Southbridge, and will teach as a team for the first quarter of the school year before teaching independently. The health educator will use appropriate strategies, and methods to facilitate health promotion and disease prevention. This unique position allows the health educator to connect youth and their families to community support services within and outside of YOU Inc. This position requires reliable transportation to get back and forth from the schools and community settings to the office throughout the day.

The Relief Residential Counselor works as part of a shift of staff, led by a shift supervisor, all of whom are in a specific client to staff ratio, with the responsibility for creating and maintaining a therapeutic treatment milieu. Relief Residential Counselors are considered “essential employees” when they are on shift and as such may be mandated to work beyond their scheduled shift in order to maintain client - staff ratios and/or be required to report to work if they are scheduled to work during declared states of emergency. The Relief Residential Counselor insures the safety and supervision of youth, cultivates a therapeutic treatment milieu, maintains appropriate boundaries while developing supportive professional relationships with youth, participates in the upkeep and cleanliness of the facility, documents client care as required or directed, and if necessary, utilizes agency physical management interventions.

The Nurse Manager will supervise the Stetson School and You Inc. nursing departments by providing: - Supervision of nurses and nursing department staff, including oversight for all nursing duties and responsibilities. - Overall organization and coordination of the nursing department. - Hiring and supervising the orientation of nurses and other nursing department staff. - Chairing nursing meetings, and ensuring the recording and distribution of minutes. - Coordinates orientation to nursing and health care services for all new Stetson School staff. - Trains all new staff on Universal Precautions, including infection control, hand washing techniques, biomedical hazards, summer health hazards, and epi-pen administration. - Organizes medication administration training of supervisors, direct care staff, and other designated staff via the Massachusetts MAP program. - Provide Map trainings for Congregate Care programs as needed. - Facilitate and assist preparing for annual DCF/MAP audits. - Weekly audit of all programs using MAP in Congregate Care - Coordination of psychiatric services. - Nursing chart audits. - Liaison between Stetson School and the Barre Family Health Center and other community-based health facilities. - Consultation on medical complex referrals/ residents. - Coordinates with psychiatrist and medical director to update yearly standing doctor's orders. - Liaison with and management of contact and relationships with pharmacies, laboratories, and other adjunct services. - Writes and updates health care policies, protocols, and procedures. - Ensures adherence with all policies, protocols, and procedures, for all nursing department staff. - Completes Nursing department staff evaluations and disciplinary actions, if deemed necessary. - Scheduling and oversight of after-hours nursing on-call system. - Communicate procedures for handling insurance and provider information. - Attends all departmental and agency meetings, student-related meeting and case reviews, and trainings as required.
