Responsibilities

  • Support students in on-campus and community-based job placements.
  • Help students prepare for employment by practicing job applications, interviews, and workplace behavior.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching, supervision, and mentoring during work placements.
  • Assist in developing independent living skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and managing daily responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with school staff, residential teams, and employers to ensure student success.
  • Serve as a liaison between students and job sites, building strong relationships with community employers.
  • Support classroom activities and vocational programs like culinary or industrial arts.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt coaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Provide transportation and support for off-campus work activities.
  • Use therapeutic and behavioral strategies, including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), when needed

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalency required.
  • 1-3 years of related experience working with youth, vocational training, or related fields.
  • Valid driver's license (Class C or D).
