Seven Hills Pediatric Center is seeking a caring and dependable Teacher Assistant to support classroom activities and provide hands-on assistance to students with developmental disabilities. This role is essential in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for students with complex medical and educational needs.

 

Pay: $26.00/hour

Responsibilities

  • Assist classroom staff with setup, participation, and cleanup for activities and events
  • Provide hand-over-hand support to students during classroom tasks
  • Complete routine classroom documentation under teacher direction
  • Research and suggest new activities to enhance student engagement
  • Support wheelchair-bound students in accessing school, residential areas, and the community
  • Reposition, feed, and provide personal care to students/residents as needed
  • Maintain a professional and supportive presence in the classroom
  • Work in harmony with Seven Hills Foundation’s mission and values

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or HiSET required
  • Experience: No prior experience required; personal or work-related experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 17 years old, actively enrolled in secondary school, and possess a valid working permit
  • Certifications: CPR/First Aid required
  • Driver’s License: Not required
