Core Values

Assistant Principal
$70,000–$80,000 | Greenfield, NH
Crotched Mountain School – A Program of Seven Hills New Hampshire

Lead with purpose. Embrace the unexpected. Make a difference you can actually see.

Picture yourself in a leadership role where your work matters beyond meetings and emails — where progress is measured in student breakthroughs, stronger teams, and the occasional “this is why I chose this career” moment.

Crotched Mountain School, part of Seven Hills New Hampshire, has been growing steadily, purposefully, and sustainably over the past several years — expanding programs, welcoming new students, and building a team that believes meaningful work should be impactful and human. (Yes, coffee helps. We won’t pretend otherwise.)

Responsibilities

The Role — Imagine Your Day Here:
You’ll partner with the Building Principal to help lead a year-round special education program serving students with complex needs, including autism and developmental, behavioral, and psychiatric challenges. Set on a scenic therapeutic campus, your role blends leadership, instructional support, and case management — equal parts planning ahead and thinking on your feet (sometimes before 8 a.m.).

Your Impact Will Include:
•  Supporting daily school operations with the Building Principal
•  Leading IEP development, compliance, and case management
•  Mentoring and supervising paraeducators and support staff
•  Building strong partnerships with families and community providers
•  Overseeing scheduling, student placement, and daily logistics
•  Stepping in as acting administrator when needed (no superhero cape required… but we’d respect it)

Qualifications

You’re a Great Fit If You:
•  Have 3+ years of teaching experience and a NH Teaching Credential
•  Lead with empathy, structure, and unwavering commitment to our students' success
•  Bring professional or personal experience with disabilities

Why You’ll Love It Here:
•  Generous Time Off — 3 weeks PTO + holidays, sick & personal days
•  Career Growth — paid licensure, CE events, education assistance
•  Outstanding Benefits — medical, dental, vision, 403(b) with 25–33% match
•  PSLF-Eligible Employer — your future self will thank you
•  Additional Perks — pet insurance, legal insurance, EAP, discount programs & more
•  A Campus That Doesn’t Feel Like a Cubicle — lakes, trails, pool, media center, and space to breathe

Schedule: Full-time | Year-round | Exempt

This is more than a leadership role — it’s a chance to grow your career while doing work that genuinely matters in a place built for progress, purpose, and small wins that make big differences.
