Stetson School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Vice President (AVP) to provide strategic and operational leadership across a comprehensive residential treatment and educational campus. This executive-level role is responsible for overseeing multiple departments—including residential, clinical, education, nursing, training, program quality improvement (PQI), facilities, and food services—ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and student-centered care.

Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Provide overall leadership, direction, and coordination of program operations across all departments
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop, implement, and evaluate program strategies and new initiatives
  • Oversee program planning, staffing, and performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Manage and monitor program budgets in collaboration with senior leadership

Program Oversight & Service Delivery

  • Ensure residential, clinical, and educational services are delivered in a structured, therapeutic, and individualized manner
  • Support admissions, discharges, and census management to align services with student needs
  • Participate in clinical reviews, case conferences, and interdisciplinary planning

Quality, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, licensing, and accreditation standards
  • Lead risk management efforts, including audits, incident reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Oversee the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of student records
  • Monitor program performance through data analysis, metrics, and quality improvement processes

Health, Safety & Facilities Oversight

  • Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment across campus
  • Oversee maintenance, food service, and safety protocols in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Support emergency preparedness planning and response coordination

Leadership & Team Development

  • Supervise and support senior program leaders across departments
  • Partner with Human Resources to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing staff
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee staff training and professional development initiatives

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Maintain strong communication with internal leadership, staff, families, and external partners
  • Ensure transparency in reporting program outcomes, risks, and achievements
  • Promote a culture that values respect, ethical practice, and positive outcomes for students

Skills & Leadership Competencies

  • Strategic leadership and organizational management
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality improvement practices
  • Financial and budget management expertise
  • Exceptional communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex operations
  • Experience with risk management, accreditation, and program development

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a human services or related field required
  • 5–10 years of progressive leadership experience in residential, clinical, or educational settings
  • Valid driver’s license required
