Pay Scale Annually:  $72,992 to $82,992 (Based on experience)

Sign on bonus of $5,000 (paid quarterly over 18 months)

The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to students using a systematic approach to assess, intervene, and document outcomes. Responsible for ensuring high-quality nursing care, the nurse collaborates with ancillary staff, nursing colleagues, and student-team members to uphold professional standards. All nursing functions are performed in accordance with school policy, the school mission, and State regulations.

Schedule:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7:30am-3:30pm and either Sunday or Saturday 7:30am-3:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate care for students with chronic health conditions, including diabetes, life-threatening allergies, seizure disorders, and other medical needs.
  • Develop and maintain individualized care plans and provide health education to students, staff, and families.

  • Respond to emergencies and provide first aid or life-saving interventions as needed.

  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing protocols.

  • Conduct health assessments, monitor vital signs, and document student conditions and nursing interventions.

  • Maintain communication with families, social workers, physicians, dentists, and specialists; schedule routine and follow-up medical appointments.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams and participate in case reviews, health committees, and staff meetings.

  • Assist in psychiatric medication reviews, gather data for evaluations, and provide nutrition counseling.

  • Manage medication and supply inventory, conduct audits, and maintain accurate records.

  • Train and orient new staff and provide ongoing education on health procedures, infection control, and chronic conditions.

  • Perform general office duties, participate in quality improvement activities, and uphold professional nursing standards.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) by the Massachusetts Board of Nursing

  • BLS Certification preferred

  • Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
