Transport individuals to and from program in a safe and timely manner. Maintain upkeep of vehicles as assigned.

 

Pay: $20/hour

Responsibilities

  • Drive the school bus and supervise bus monitor.
  • Set up the routes and log time schedules, morning and afternoon for all bused children, e.g., drop off and pick up time and maintain authorization.
  • Ensure safety of children at all times, including ensuring no child is left unattended.
  • Log any accident reports that occur while you are on duty (to and from home and school, parking lot, etc.).
  • Log in the injury log by the teacher mailboxes.
  • Have reports signed by the Director or Family Service Coordinator.
  • Make copies and give one to parent and file the other in the child’s file.
  • Responsible for and logging of bus maintenance, repairs, monthly and yearly inspections (e.g. gas and oil, cleanup of vehicle, regular vehicle checks).
  • Reports to Director about all mechanical and bus related problems/and maintains the bus logs.
  • Perform other duties as required or directed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Required
  • 21 years of age or older
  • at least a three (3) year verifiably clean driving record.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
