Prepare three well-balanced meals and three snacks daily for each resident
Follow dietary guidelines and nutritional requirements for children
Assist with menu planning in compliance with Bureau of Nutrition standards
Support meal service while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety
Maintain daily cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas
Ensure safe and secure handling of kitchen equipment, knives, and food supplies
Properly store food items and train staff on safe storage and equipment use
Monitor inventory and place orders for linens, personal care items, and cleaning supplies
Assist the Chef Manager with daily documentation and recordkeeping
Support kitchen operations through organization, planning, and collaboration
Carry out additional duties as assigned to keep operations running smoothly
High school diploma, GED, or HiSET required
1–3 years of related food service experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in food preparation, storage, and service
Completion of training in culinary arts, restaurant management, or a related field
Valid ServSafe Certification (required)
Knowledge of nutrition, meal planning, and dietary accommodations for children
Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and organization
