Children's Aid & Family Services, an Affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation

 

Seven Hills Children’s Aid and Family Services is seeking a compassionate and resourceful Family Navigator to support families and individuals identified as being at elevated risk through the HUB and Handle with Care programs. This role is part of the Resilient Worcester initiative and focuses on connecting families to essential services such as housing, childcare, food security, and mental health support.

 

Pay: $25/hour

Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly HUB meetings to support high-risk families and individuals.
  • Build trust with families experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, or substance use disorders.
  • Assess immediate needs and maintain consistent communication with clients.
  • Provide referrals and information on childcare, housing, food security, and other social services.
  • Create effective linkages to community resources and support systems.
  • Serve as a liaison between families and health/social service providers.
  • Support the implementation of Handle with Care in early childhood settings.
  • Help HUB partners understand and navigate systems of care for families with young children.
  • Participate in Resilient Worcester meetings, trainings, and evaluation activities.
  • Collect and manage client data to inform future programming.
  • Travel to community locations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree preferred; early childhood credentials a plus.

  • Bilingual skills strongly preferred.

  • Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of local human service and childcare systems.

  • Ability to work independently, maintain detailed records, and travel within the community.

  • Valid driver’s license required.
