Are you an experienced Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with a passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities? Seven Hills Family Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to provide essential medical oversight and consultation for our Shared Living Program.

Position Overview:
As a Registered Nurse in our Shared Living Program, you will play a key role in providing medical assessments, creating individualized care protocols, and offering ongoing support to program participants, staff, and caregivers. Your expertise will help ensure participants receive the highest level of health care and medical support.

 

Pay rate: $32-34/hour. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement personalized medical protocols for conditions such as seizures and pica.
  • Train staff and caregivers on preventative measures and interventions for conditions like diabetes, nutrition, and g-tubes.
  • Assess participants' health status and provide expert consultation and recommendations.
  • Facilitate communication with physicians and medical professionals for ongoing care and treatment.
  • Complete Medication Treatment Plans for participants requiring behavior-altering medications.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary team to address all healthcare needs.
  • Maintain confidential health records and ensure compliance with all DDS regulations.
  • Provide medical insights during Individual Support Plan development.
  • Travel as needed to provide in-person care and assessments.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's degree required.
  • Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in healthcare, preferably with a focus on developmental or intellectual disabilities.
  • Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records and computer systems is essential.
  • Driving: Valid driver's license (Class C or Class D).
  • Other: Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
