Overview

versees and manages mentor coaching services including recruitment, orientation, development, and implementation of written agreements with coaches as needed, program matching, scheduling, monitoring, professional development of coaches, and observation and assessment of coaches’ work in the field.

 

pay rate $18.50-21.50/hour

Responsibilities

Coordinates mentor coaching services and provides mentoring for the early childhood education workforce.

 

Provides high quality direct mentor coaching services to early childhood programs.

 

Develops knowledge and skills related to coaching best practices, identifies resources for professional development especially in early childhood competencies, leadership, peer mentoring and coaching, and assists with program assessment.

 

Participates in departmental teamwork to develop and review strategic goals, work plans, and budgets.

 

Data collection and reporting of mentor coaching data to document program progress.

 

Provides technical assistance and information concerning coaching and other CCC services.

 

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Social Work, or related field.

 

A minimum of five years of experience in early childhood care and education with at least two years of experience in supervision or coaching of other staff.

 

Experience with program planning, implementation, and management.

 

Experience working with people from many cultures, English speakers of other languages, and people of varying abilities

 

Effective oral and written communication and computer skills including use of Microsoft Office products, email, and data management applications on a personal computer and/or tablet.

 

Multi-lingual is preferred but not required.

 

Ability to carry out primary job functions while sitting and standing for extended periods of time. Additional requirements may include: Speaking, listening, twisting, walking.
Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.
May be required to move equipment (laptop, medication cart, etc.) weighing up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision, and depth perception. The employee is required to remain awake and alert while on duty.
Ability to drive.
