The Therapy Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at The Seven Hills Pediatric Center provides personalized care and support to residents, focusing on helping them achieve and maintain functional mobility. Under the supervision of therapy staff (PT, PTA, OT, OTA), you will assist in implementing maintenance programs for residents who no longer require skilled therapy treatments. This hands-on role involves working closely with residents to support their mobility, daily living skills, and therapeutic activities, as well as contributing to the overall care plan.

As a Therapy CNA, you will be an integral part of the care team, assisting in clinics, projects, and the maintenance of durable medical equipment, including wheelchairs, standers, and gait trainers. Your time will be spent engaging directly with residents, ensuring they are able to participate in therapy programs and daily activities that enhance their independence and quality of life. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact through hands-on care and collaboration with a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Complete required paperwork, including daily journals, data tracking, portfolios, and classroom documentation, to monitor progress and report on the individual’s achievements and needs.
  • Van Monitoring: Become a certified van monitor and assist in the safe transportation of students to and from activities, community outings, and field trips.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with therapy staff, educators, and other professionals to implement therapeutic and educational programs, ensuring that every student receives high-quality, holistic care.
  • Staff Development: Participate in ongoing in-service training and staff development to stay current with best practices in care, behavior support, and therapeutic interventions.
