Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 (paid quarterly over 18 months) for full time positions.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in delivering quality nursing care to students. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the LPN uses independent nursing judgment to assess, document, and evaluate the effects of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care in alignment with each student’s health needs.

  • Accurately assess, document, and monitor care outcomes.

  • Collaborate with RNs, ancillary staff, and the student care team to maintain professional standards of practice.

  • Support school policy, mission, and state regulations to ensure safe, effective care.

Qualifications:

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Massachusetts.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Respond to medical and emergency situations with professionalism and care

  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and nursing protocols

  • Monitor student health through assessments, vital signs, and documentation

  • Provide health education and guidance to students, staff, and families

  • Support psychiatric care, medication reviews, and health planning

  • Coordinate medical, dental, vision, and specialist appointments

  • Maintain accurate health records, medication inventory, and compliance audits

  • Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and families to ensure quality care

  • Participate in staff training, student education plans, and ongoing health initiatives

  • Promote a safe, trauma-informed environment that supports student recovery

Qualifications

  • Completion of a one-year LPN Nursing Program

  • Six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
