Overview

Deliver educational services to students in the YOU, Inc. schools on a temporary basis for a time period to be determined by the program’s Director of Education.

Responsibilities

1. Provide classroom instruction, supervision, and management of students in the assigned academic/ vocational content area(s).
2. Participate in meetings and trainings as requested by the Director of Education or his/her designee.
3. Provide ongoing supervision and management of students, using strategies and techniques which are appropriate to the needs of the individual students.
4. Maintain documentation of student work which performed and/or completed during the assigned work period; complete incident reports and other reports as necessary or requested.
5. Provide necessary documentation.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two years of post-secondary education with Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related area preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Preferably, the employee holds, or is eligible for, a Massachusetts Department of Education Teaching Licensure.
Ability to manage the classroom environment appropriately and provide instruction to students with emotional and behavioral disabilities. Good communication skills. Valid CORI, as well as a current Massachusetts driver’s license and good driving record.
