$1,000 sign-on bonus

 

This position maintains repairs and updates the properties of the agency when required and assists licensed tradesman if
necessary. To maintain the safety and integrity of all buildings and property systems owned or leased by the agency.

 

Responsibilities

Consults with Facility Manager concerning assignments. Keep manager informed of activities, issues, and problems that may arise
within the facility.


Performs a variety of general and preventative maintenance, repairs, overhaul, and construction duties within the facility and
grounds in a timely manner.


Receives assignments and work orders. Review work orders for priority status and designated time schedules. Read and interpret
plans and specifications. Follow manufacturer’s instructions and specifications in the operation, repair, and maintenance of systems,
equipment, furniture, and fixtures.


Performs general carpentry work including, but not limited to the installation and /or repair of suspended ceilings, drywall,
woodwork, furniture, doors, windows, walls, flooring ceramic tiles, roofs, fences etc.


Completes “minor” electrical work, including, but not limited to the installation and/or repair of fixtures, resetting of breakers,
replacement of fuses, replacement of hard to reach or complicated light bulbs, resetting of alarms, pulling of electrical, data
,telephone, audio/visual wires, etc., where a licensed master electrician is not required by law.


Prepares repairs and paints walls, ceilings, floors, etc., both inside and outside.


Removes snow and ice water or debris as assigned or required.


Repairs and/or checks electrical, HVAC and systems within the scope of knowledge and safety.


Assists in moving furniture or other articles as required.


Completes “minor” concrete/stonework.


Performs work in compliance with Human Rights regulations.


May work independently of direct supervision or, at times, alone.


Drives and coordinates routine maintenance for company vehicles.


As needed on call and overtime responsibilities.

Be familiar with and actively promote all Seven Hills’ policies and procedures, the site’s program specific policies and procedures
and the regulations governing the program.


Attend meetings and in-services as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency or comparable experience required in the position.

 

Moderate to high degree of experience in most aspects of building maintenance including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, painting, electricity, and manual/power tools.


General knowledge of safety and building codes.

 

Able to communicate verbally, visually, and in writing.

 

Basic budgeting and mathematical skills.

 

Proven ability to demonstrate tact, good judgment, and initiative in interactions with participants, peers, family members, and the general public.

 

Able to work with minimal supervision.

 

General intelligence, motor coordination skills, coordination of eyes, hands and feet, verbal intelligence, numerical intelligence, color determination, and near acuity required.

 

Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.

Physical demands: Sitting, pushing, pulling, carrying, grasping, speaking, listening, stooping, crouching, bending, standing, twisting,
crawling, walking, climbing. May be required to lift up to seventy-five (75) pounds or up to two hundred (200) pounds with
assistance.


Work environment: Use of workplace chemicals, outside work, atmospheric and injury exposures. Driving to various locations. Cold,
heat, noise exposure, poisonous plants, and insects.


Consequences of error include fire, accident, injury, death, loss of organization license, and lawsuit and serious financial harm.
