Pay Rate:  $21.00 to $23.00 per hour DOE

 

New Hire Sign-on Bonus $2,500.00

 

General Maintenance and servicing operation throughout the facility to include but not limited to: plumbing, basic electric work, painting, carpentry, snow removal, ground, preventive maintenance and similar functions. This position has rotating On-Call responsibilities for urgent situations. Under the general supervision and work direction of the Director of Building Services performs a variety of general maintenance and repair to maintain buildings, equipment, fixtures and grounds in proper appearance operating condition.

Responsibilities

 

Position Snapshot: General Maintenance and servicing operation throughout the facility to include but not limited to: plumbing, basic electric work, painting, carpentry, snow removal, ground, preventive maintenance and similar functions. This position has rotating On-Call responsibilities for urgent situations. Under the general supervision and work direction of the Director of Building Services performs a variety of general maintenance and repair to maintain buildings, equipment, fixtures and grounds in proper appearance operating condition.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 18+ years old
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License & Good Driving Record

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives.
  • Varied interests and personal connections in the local community.
  • Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer or school history).
  • Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of your team.
  •  Experience of three (3) to five (5) years of progressively more responsible duties in the building maintenance trades is desired.
  • Must have good analytical and judgment skills to problem solve while completing a variety of assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of Massachusetts building, plumbing and electrical codes is desired.
