Coordinating all aspects of Adult Day Program in accordance with state regulations, the Department of Developmental Services and the mission of SHPC. Coordinates activities and instructions for individuals attending the Adult Day Program.
Supervise adult day programs.
Supervise and assist in the training of Adult Services staff.
Serve as liaison between Adult Services and other departments.
Oversee the implementation of meaningful and person centered activities for program participants.
Attend team meetings and develop appropriate ISP and RISP goals in conjunction with other team members.
Coordinate the collection of meaningful data to be used to direct the assessment process and the development of goals for program participants.
Work together with the interdisciplinary team members to provide opportunities for community involvement for program participants.
Responsible for organizing and implementing ongoing staff development program.
Current Massachusetts certification or provisional certification as a Teacher of students with Intensive Special Needs or possess a comparable certification from another state that is transferrable to Massachusetts
Minimum of five to seven years combined experience in the field of Special Education and with a DDS affiliated Adult Day Programs.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Proven leadership skills and problem solving abilities.
