Overview

The HR/IT Business Systems Analyst serves as a bridge between the Human Resources and Information Technology departments, ensuring the seamless integration and optimization of HR systems, processes and data. This role involves analyzing HR operational needs, translating them into technical requirements, collaborating with IT for system enhancements, managing HR system implementations, and providing training and support to end users.

Responsibilities

HR/IT Business Systems Analyst Responsiblities:

 

System Analysis and Implementation:
• Optimize internal HR systems and applications.
• Analyze, design, and configure HRIS systems to meet HR and business needs.
• Lead or participate in the implementation of new platforms or upgrades.
• Ensure that HR systems are set up and maintained in accordance with both internal requirements and regulatory compliance.
Integration and Support:
• Collaborate with IT to integrate HR systems with other business systems.
• Provide technical support for HR applications, troubleshooting, and resolving system issues.
• Assist with end-user training and creation of user documentation.
Data Analytics and Reporting:
• Develop, run, and maintain reports using Tableau, Power BI, and other analytics tools.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance in HR systems.
• Aid HR leaders in strategic decision-making by providing data-driven insights.
• Drive process improvements and system redesigns.
Vendor Relationship Management:
• Manage relationships with HR technology vendors.
• Review and recommend system enhancements, considering future HR and business needs.
Project Management:
• Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to enhance HR systems and processes.
• Develop test plans and scripts in order to execute testing to ensure bug free solutions are delivered.
• Document project requirements, timelines, and outcomes.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project goals and timelines are met.

Qualifications

HR/IT Business Systems Analyst Qualifications: 

 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in MIS, HR or analytics. Associate degree with 3-5 years of experience will be considered.
• 3-5 years of relevant human resources experience or combination of education and experience in process design and technology support.
• Experience with at least one or more of the following is preferred: iCIMS, iSOLVED, E-Pay, Docebo, Tableau or PowerBI.
• Experience working with computer based human resources systems.
• Experience in project management, systems implementation, and continuous improvement programs.
• Continuous improvement and learning mindset to stay updated on HRIS advancements and industry best practices.
