The Crotched Mountain School & Village, now an affiliate of Seven Hills New Hampshire, is looking for a Residential Counselor to join our outstanding team of professionals dedicated to enhancing the lives of our students.

Responsibilities

Resident Counselor Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Align student education and residential services with IEP and ILP plans.
    • Assist residents with residential programs and daily routines.
    • Complete required record-keeping, data collection, and documentation.
    • Select and supervise activities suited to each resident’s capabilities.
    • Attend program and behavior meetings, orientation, and training sessions.
    • Perform household chores, with or without student assistance.
    • Ensure residents are dressed appropriately, respecting their rights and dignity.
    • Advocate for and protect clients' rights per current policies and procedures.
    • Maintain a mature and positive attitude with residents, staff, and guardians.
    • Perform other duties as directed.

Qualifications

Resident Counselor Qualifications:

  • Must be 21+
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Have one of the following:
    • Minimum of 2 years of childcare experience (3000 hours)
    • Associates Degree or higher with a minimum of 12 credits in a related field (i.e. Psychology, Education, Criminal Justice, Nursing, etc.)
    • Seven years of parenting
  • 2 years’ experience in the health and human services field, strongly preferred
