YOU, Inc is seeking a talented Clinician to join out team at the Wetzel Center in Worcester, MA!
The Residential Acute Care Clinician will be responsible for providing direct acute clinical care to children, adolescents and their families in our fast-paced hospital diversion I/CBAT program, The Wetzel Center. The clinician will be responsible for providing short-term individual, family, and group therapy to support youth in stabilizing so that they can safely return to their community setting or next placement.  At times, the clinician may need to be in ratio to provide clinical support to the residential counselors and to support the needs and safety of the program.

The clinician is responsible for contributing to the successful operation of the acute-care therapeutic milieu that operates safely, efficiently, effectively and in a strengths-based, solution-focused,  trauma informed manner. The clinician is required to complete all clinical documentation, participate in the on-call rotation, and is required to work a minimum of one evening per week to accommodate family’s schedules. 


**New Hire Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 ($750 paid after 6 months, $750 paid after 12 months of continuous employment.)

*$1,000 paid towards student loans per year completed.


  • Conduct a comprehensive clinical assessment of youth referred for acute care services
  • Develop a meaningful safety plan, treatment and after-care plan
  • Provide quality, effective, intensive, short-term individual, family, and group therapy
  • Provide caregiver support through regular contact and caregiver support groups
  • Maintain a full caseload as required by the program
  • Maintain all clinical records in compliance with regulatory standards and requirements
  • Participate in on-call rotation, including a minimum of one evening per week to provide support to the milieu and to facilitate family therapy sessions
  • Contribute to the successful operation of the program through being a collaborative and effective team member
  • Other duties as assigned


  • MSW, MA in Counseling, Ph.D., PsyD., or Ed.D. required
  • LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, Lic. Ph.D./Psy.d. or Independent License eligible required
  • Acute care experience highly preferred
  • Experience providing clinical care to high-risk youth and their caregiver/family
  • Experience in managing crisis situations
  • Ability to develop therapeutic rapport with youth and their caregivers
  • Ability to manage a high-paced, clinically intensive work environment
  • Effectively able to work within a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently manage time
