This direct support position is responsible for the provision of case management services to program participants. Position Snapshot: *Some of the duties of a Support Advocate are/may include the following depending on the abilities of those residing in the home and the needs of the program.


Entry Level Case Managers are responsible for the provision of day-to-day services to our program participants. Seven Hills NCIS provides case management to a variety of different individuals residing in the North Central Area.  All supports are individualized based on need therefore we provide many different types of assistance such as: assistance with attending medical appointments and follow through with recommendations, supporting individuals with DCF involvement to follow/complete their service plans, assisting with obtaining VNA/HHA services, rep payee support, assistance with court proceedings, obtaining and maintaining entitlements, assistance with shopping, advocating for individual needs, completing ISP’s including individual assessments/progress summaries/objectives, etc.


Support Advocates are provided a paid 5-day New Employee Orientation and receive training on CPR/First Aid, Safety Care, and Defensive Driving. They also receive program-specific training at the work site.


Required Qualifications:

  • 18+ years old
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License & Good Driving Record. Use of personal vehicle required.
  • COVID vaccination is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience assisting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities to participate fully in their community.

  • Varied interests and personal connections in the local community.

  • Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer or school history).

  • Ability to work as part of a team, independently in the community. Positive, constructive, respectful.

  • Experience completing ISP assessments, writing support strategies and progress summaries.

  • Proven ability to provide quality case management supports and maintain a caseload
