    The In-Home Therapy (IHT) clinican provides services in homes or other community locations to youth and families. The In-Home Therapy team provides strength–based services to youth under 21 years old who have social, emotional, and behavioral needs and to the youths’ families.


    **$2,000 sign-on bonus available, paid at 6 and 12 months of employment. 


    • Complete, in a timely manner, comprehensive home- based behavioral health assessments inclusive of the age-appropriate version of the Massachusetts CANS that occurs in the youth’s home or another location of their choice.
    • Obtain initial insurance authorization and subsequent authorizations, utilize unit tracking tool in order to accurately monitor units.
    • Develop a treatment plan in collaboration with the family; develop collaterals that prioritize needs and set related goals as indicated by assessments; revise and update plan as intervention proceeds.
    • Collaborate with the TT & S in implementing the treatment plan to assist youth and family in achieving the goals of the plan.
    • Plan and conduct, with TT & S, family and/or individual meetings (as needed) in support of goals, with clear purpose and maximum possible flexibility, including times or places for meetings.
    • Provide or arrange for transportation for client to appointments; arrange for, crisis/respite services if needed.
    • Develop and frequently review risk management/ safety plan in collaboration with youth and the parent/caretaker.
    • Provide intensive family therapy that may include working with the entire family, or a subset of the family, to implement focused, structural, strategic or behavioral techniques or evidence based interventions to enhance problem solving, limit setting, risk management/safety planning, communication, and skill building to strengthen the family, and to advance therapeutic goals or improve ineffective patterns of interactions.
    • Develop initial and ongoing team work with family members, formal providers, natural supports, and others who can support sustainable progress.
    • Participate in weekly individual and team supervision.
    • Maintains paperwork and electronic records in a timely manner - in accordance with IHT guidelines and performance specifications.
    • Organize, and/ or attend meetings and appointments in various locations.
    • Identify community resources and develop natural supports for youth and parents/ caregivers to support and sustain achievements of the youth, in regard to their service plans.
    • Ensure specialist consultations, evaluations and referrals are requested as needed,
    • Provide or secure support and crisis/ emergency interventions for the youth/ family.
    • Collaborate with other necessary individuals/ service providers that are working with the family.
    • Attend all treatment meetings that occur in regard to clients on the In Home Therapist’s case list
    • Meet clinical on call responsibilities.
    • Provide closure and aftercare plan for each family/ client.
    • Provide services later in the day and as needed on weekends to meet the needs of clients’ school schedules and appointments.


    • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Education with a relevant concentration from an accredited university

    • Must be licensed or license-eligible in Massachusetts (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or LADC I)
    • Experience and training in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families
    • Good communication skills.
    • Good problem solving skills.
    • Ability to work positively with colleagues, clients, family members and others.
    • Ability to develop risk management/ safety plans.
    • Ability to do CANS assessments or to learn how to do them.
    • Valid driver’s license, good driving record and access to a reliable vehicle that is insured for liability at the minimum level required by Children’s Friend policy.
