  • Overview

    This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all aspects of the residence to which they are assigned. These operations include ensuring that staff are well-trained on programmatic and individual needs; residents are receiving the appropriate type and amount of supports; proper management of resident finances, medications, appointments, personal needs, etc.; promotion of natural support development and meaningful community integration; maintenance of programmatic budgets; ensuring appropriate food items and supplies are available; participating in the Incident Management process as assigned; completion and oversight of documentation including progress notes; ensure all required regulations are met; ensures that staff treat people with respect and listen carefully to them to best honor their choices, privacy, refusals and rituals while also providing appropriate safeguards; assist people to identify and resolve any needs or concerns they may have; assist people to learn about and advocate for their personal rights and to understand the responsibilities that accompany those rights; ensure that staff support people with the kind, amount and style of assistance they need to enjoy personal well being.


    Provides direct support services to participants at least 32 hours per week, unless otherwise assigned, using these times as opportunities to model appropriate support strategies to staff and provide ongoing learning opportunities.
    Manages participant funds, operational budgets, and staffing budgets.
    Promotes compliance with medication management, appointment management, dietary order compliance, etc., on behalf of participants.
    Ensures residence is clean and well-maintained, and addresses any concerns appropriately
    Facilitates the ongoing on-site training and supervision of staff.
    Ensures that participants social activities and community integration is meaningful and well-planned, meeting their needs.
    Participates in the Incident Review process as assigned, ensuring reporting requirements are met within required timeframes.
    Ensures all supplies required for the residence and participants are available in the home.
    Ensures all billable services are accurately documented and reconciled by deadline.
    Completes documentation, including monthly Tier notes, as assigned.
    Assists the Residence Director to appropriately plan and schedule staff, monitor services for the participant.
    Assists with an individual’s environment such as cleaning, laundry, shopping, cooking, errands and

    Assists people to identify and resolve any needs or concerns they may have.
    Assists participants to learn about and advocate for their personal rights and to understand the responsibilities that accompany those rights.
    Ensures that all required regulations are met.
    Ensures that staff supports participants with the kind, amount, and style of assistance they need to enjoy
    personal well being.
    Promotes the overall physical, psychological and emotional health and safety of the participant.
    Models healthy behavior and positive social skills.
    Provides supports as written in the individual’s support plan that may include personal care, physical lifting
    and therapeutic holds.
    Communicates effectively in verbal, nonverbal, and written format.
    Actively participates in improving communication with participants by learning, encouraging, and actively
    utilizing an individual’s modes of communication.
    Recognizes, reports, and assists with crises as they occur.
    Transports clients using agency vehicle, or his/her vehicle as needed, to and from appointments, day program, community activities, etc.,
    Performs work in compliance with Human Rights regulations.
    Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
    Contributes to the positive morale by representing the agency through professional communication and
    Implements and fosters the principles of self advocacy which promote an independent lifestyle and
    respect for program participants.
    Models therapeutically appropriate support strategies
    Provides feedback to Support Coordinator and team as to effectiveness of individual plans
    Participate in On Call responsibilities as assigned.
    Complete and maintain all required trainings, certifications and licensures.
    Safeguards sensitive and confidential data.
    Actively promotes and positively role models philosophy, mission, and core values of the organization.
    Treats individuals served, associates, guests and other stakeholders in a respectful and dignified manner.
    Responds effectively to potential safety hazards and emergencies.
    Maintains a clean, orderly and safe environment by being respectful of property and equipment. Follows proper maintenance and safety protocols.
    Be familiar with and actively promote all Seven Hills’ policies and procedures, the site’s program specific
    policies and procedures and the regulations governing the program.
    Other duties as assigned.


    Associates degree preferred, High school diploma or equivalency required
    Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
    Able to communicate effectively verbally, non-verbally, visually, and in writing.
    Basic budgeting and mathematical skills.
    Proven ability to demonstrate tact, good judgment, and initiative in interactions with participants, peers, family members, the general public, and other stakeholders.
    Able to work with minimal supervision.
    Minimum of one (1) year of management experience preferred.
