Develop and implement horticultural therapy based curriculum integrating behavior analytic services and supports under the supervision of a behavioral specialist or other assigned professional qualified to supervise behavioral programming implementation. The position includes data collection, assessment, developing and implementing behavior support plans under the supervision of a BCBA and training staff on therapeutic techniques and behavior plan implementation.
Function as a site behavioral aide under the supervision of a BCBA or other designee when a BCBA is not required for supervision.
Gathers data on participant behavior; records, graphs and analyzes data.
Develops, trains, models and monitors behavior support plans and behavioral teaching plans.
Adheres to the current BACB Ethical Compliance Code for behavior Analysts.
Develops and implements therapeutically based horticulture programming.
Bachelor degree in horticulture related area and one year experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferably in a teaching capacity. Minimum of two years experience with data collection and implementation of behavioral programming.
Alternate qualifications: Previous horticulture experience preferably in a therapeutic setting preferred in lieu of a relevant degree. Enrollment in an applied behavior analysis bachelor or master level program or a registered behavior technician or an assistant behavior analyst (BCABA) program.
Proficiency using word processing and spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel).
Valid driver's license required.
